Details for Sunday TrainingTraining: Achilles Running Club Canberra offers you the opportunity to enjoy relaxed exercise in a pleasant location with the encouragement of friendly, trained volunteer guides.
Develop your walking or running abilities to a level of your choosing. Come along and enjoy the health benefits of walking or running. When: 8:00 am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month. 9:00 am during winter. Rain hail or shine (it usually shines). Where: The meeting point is at the picnic tables between Soundy Close car park and Belconnen Skateboard Park. We walk or run beside Lake Ginninderra for up to an hour, taking in the sights, sounds of the foreshore. After training : we have tea/coffee at the picnic tables beside the lake. Getting there is usually by car. Turn off Emu Bank to ample free carparking in Soundy Close, and walk to the picnic tables beside Lake Ginninderra. Lifts can be arranged, please email us if you need assistance with transport. Achilles Canberra also participates in local parkruns in the Canberra area.
